Love this total outfit! I am with you Cheryl about “our faith”! The Yaya Chique (my store front) is known for all its crosses…from apparel, to jewelry, to boots, candles, etc…you name it and if it has a rugged, rustic cross and some beautiful details, I buy it for the store! And even my jewelry line (debi lynn designs) has ALWAYS been rustic crosses with either turquoise or pearls!

Guess after years of us both being in business….our Creator is watching over us! :) xo…deb

Helen, thanks for noticing. They told me if I professed my faith I would be committing “fashion suicide”…guess I’m going down.

Love the cross on the shoulder area, it can represent your faith but not yelling out to everyone and is another work of Art done beautifully.

Love, Everything I have seen and continue to wait for more beautiful designs in the future.

Helen, you Turquoise Queen you – the belt featured in the Christoval shot is actually a DDR belt. I can’t remember the name or style but if you are interested I can get more info for you. Sorry, my head just does not store numbers!

Cheryl I will go down with you , haha….Also , Is the turquoise belt from your line or maybe from the Turquoise Cowgirl ? Visited her blog and noticed she had on one of your gorgeous jackets and lots of turq. jewelry….just wondering for I am a Turquoise Queen in my own right, thanks to my Mom “Sistas of the Canyon” influence and the love of the Southwest. She would be thrilled with your love of your fashion style for sure….as I am .

Janet, I must tell you that after 20 years of magazine articles, this is the first one that even comes close to telling the story. When the original writer wrote the C&I article, it was more of the same old stuff that really didn’t describe who we were, but instead told the same old, worn out story about how we found the blanket coat and started he business. When Audrey & I proofed the rough draft, we expressed our feeling of staleness to C&I and one of the editors re-wrote it and I think did a wonderful job of tying all of the strings together. I took a literal “leap of faith” by committing to print my beliefs and giving God all of the glory for the existence of Double D and what we do. Truly, when we look back on all of our HUGE mistakes, we can definitely see a greater hand in the business. Trust me, if I were in control this thing, it would have been down the tubes a long time ago!
My life verse has been my guiding “business plan” for DDR. I just want and want DDR to be a witness and point back to our awesome Creator. If I can influence just one unbeliever in some way, I will have done my purpose here – Isaiah 43:10,
You are My witnesses," declares the LORD,
“And My servant whom I have chosen,
So that you may know and believe Me
And understand that I am He
Before Me there was no God formed,
And there will be none after Me.
Anyway, thank you for noticing and please keep Double D Ranch in your prayers so we can keep sharing God’s goodness.
Blessings, Cheryl

I just have to say I just got around to reading the Double D Family History in Cowboys and Indians and it made me cry. Really I am still crying. I couldn’t be more thrilled than to give my hard earned dollars to such a wonderful family with wonderful values. If there could only be more companies like yours. Keep up the great work and thanks for the peak inside you private lives.
