Space Cowboy Makeup That’s Out of this World
We had a great time styling the Space Cowboy shoot and wanted the models to have a unique spin on cat eyes. So I came up with a twist that combines a classic cat eye look, Mr. Spock inspired eyebrows and '80s matte neon colors. Don’t use metallic colors or the look won’t look as modern. It’s easy to do, even if you don’t have a steady hand. Here’s how:
BEAUTY SECRETS STEP BY STEP
STEP 1
Apply eyelid primer to help your color pop. I like using nude Urban Decay primer.
STEP 2
Use a stiff brush to apply neon eye shadow. We used Viseart Paris 08 Editorial Brights. You can also use a neon color from MAC makeup, but forget about Maybelline, there just isn’t enough pigment to pop.
STEP 3
Use a business card to make the little cat eye “swoops.” Just hold the card against your eye and brush over it for a perfect line.
STEP 4
Add false eyelashes instead of eyeliner. Ardell lashes work great and you can get them at any drugstore.
STEP 5
Accent your cheekbones and outline lips with just a touch of RMS Magic Luminizer.
STEP 6
Add very nude lipstick and you are good to go!
